Colorado
isn't as big as Texas, but it took us three days to get through
it.
The motor home just doesn't climb mountains well,
especially not with a Ford Taurus as an anchor!

The scenery was spectacular. We saw snow-capped mountains at every turn.

Climbing to this pass in the RV was enough to convince us that we needed to drive the car separately on mountain roads to give the motorhome a break.

One good thing about this type of travel is that it makes us take frequent breaks,so we really do get to enjoy the country we are passing through.

Royal
Gorge was the highlight of our Colorado sightseeing, especially
for Scooch.
Dogs were not only allowed on the train, they were also invited
into the store.
I couldn't figure out why they put so much good-smelling stuff on
the bottom shelves!

Everyone else jumped off the train to look at the gorgeous view - I barely made it past these hummingbirds! I had never seen so many at one feeder.

Although
it was the middle of the day and there was a lot of traffic,
nothing seemed to disturb these deer. We saw several feeding
along the narrow road.

We made it through Utah in one day. It's a beautiful state, but we had a few deadlines to meet on the trip, and needed to move on through Nevada.
